Personal Track Interpretation

It is out of shear surprise that "Anakin and the Senator" turned out to be the single for Attack of the Clones. In the original Symphony, this theme was given a brief appearance and a terrible beginning and part of the weakest movement in the Prequels. When it came time to remix Attack of the Clones, this officially untitled theme was in obvious need for improvement.

With only two appearances of the theme, not a lot of music was available for potential expansion. Through repeated listening, I finally discovered how this music wanted to be edited, and how to do so with a clean and clear beginning and ending. "Anakin and the Senator" quickly assumed the single position, although the actual suite version appears with additional introduction music.

"Across the Stars" is generally believed to be the love theme for the second STAR WARS prequel, and it was marketed at such prior to the film. After working on this particular theme, I do not believe that to be true. This courtship music creates instant images of romance, not only between the young Padawan and Naboo's senator, but of young love itself.

We are reminded of the quiet time spent on Naboo, away from a galaxy embracing war. Alone, love is kindled between "Anakin and the Senator"...a love that would change the fate of the STAR WARS universe, forever.

The title for "Anakin and the Senator" is an ode to another favorite romantic theme in STAR WARS: "Han Solo and the Princess".
