It has taken quite a lot of time to get to this point in our STAR WARS: Symphony for a Saga journey. This suite gave me trouble for a long time, and I am probably more excited about the final product than you are. Please enjoy, “The Empire Strikes Back Suite.”

As always, I would appreciate sharing this on any social media platform to bring it to other fans!

I am very pleased, if not relieved, to finally begin to unveil my newest work. I began revisiting this project back in the fall of 2015 as we all anticipated The Force Awakens. This sequence of music is one I slaved over for quite a while. I present to you the next single in STAR WARS: Symphony for a Saga – “The Perilous Ice Planet, Hoth”.

Please like and share this project on social media. I appreciate your support.

This release is a long time in the making. Up until now, the single and suites are just re-releases of work done years ago. In 2005, the original Symphony for a Saga was released and highly praised. Later that year I began working on a new and improved version of the project. I began releasing those singles and suites quickly in 2005 and 2006. The prequel trilogy was completed early in 2007. I started work on the classic trilogy in 2008, and released the single for A New Hope in 2009.

The “A New Hope Suite” project began on September 28th, 2009 when I loaded the tracks into my editor. I had a version locked by spring the next year, but it never was released. With the release of the Ultimate Digital Collection, I went back into this suite and made some changes. I improved some edits. As the following two suites started to take shape, I realized “A New Hope Suite” was too long. I needed to make some trims from somewhere. You won’t miss the minute or so of extra music, but finally on May 14th, 2016, I finished this suite. Now, you get to hear it for the first time.

I am pleased to release “A New Hope Suite,” available now for download in high quality MP3, FLAC and Apple Lossless! I began working on the cover last year, but also recently made some changes to the artwork. The cover and liner notes are included in the archived download.

Please click on The Symphony to the left to find the suite. You’ll also notice the movie posters at the top of the page light up as each suite is complete. It has been a long time coming. I know I release this on Facebook, and a few other forums. Wherever you find this project from, please comment and share your thoughts. It has been a lot of hard work. Find the project on Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo! Please remember to “Like” and “Share”.

May the Force be with you!

7 April 2016

Welcome back!

It is hard to believe seven years has passed since the last word was officially spoken about Star Wars: Symphony for a Saga!

I started this project back when we thought the circle was complete. Now we have all new stories to look forward to. I plan to grow Symphony for a Saga right along with it. If you have been a fan previously, please exercise some patience with me. I will be updating as frequently as possible, and start to upload all the original material and new suites as I go.

Unfortunately, I will not be uploading the original version of Symphony for a Saga created back in 2005. That version has long been in circulation, and I was quite frustrated with some Russian websites claiming it was a legitimate release, and they still charge for it to this day. So no more “Version 1.0” and “Version 2.0” nonsense.

For new fans, the concept of Star Wars: Symphony for a Saga was to capture the feel of the films in rather brief suites; one trilogy could be contained on a single compact disc. Well, media has evolved since then, hasn’t it? I still feel the constraint of a 79:80 compact disc pushes for some tough editing decisions. My goal has been to create suites close to 25 minutes for each film—some a little shorter; some longer.

Each film will be released as previously, with the single leading shortly into that film’s suite. Note, the single will be edited a little differently than how the movement is heard within the suite.

Look for our first single for the re-release of The Phantom Menace soon!

May the Force be with you! – T
